Light For Orphans Ministry, here and after abbreviated as L.F.O.M, is an independent non-profit indigenous charitable organization. The organization was started in 2008 by Mr. Kirunda Moses, to try and stop the tide of orphaning in particular, and the spread of HIV/AIDS in general.

Soon the intended boundaries were found to be outstripped by demand, as the need for services was growing at a
speed so terrific, in an area so wider than the resources, physical, financial and human, could handle. In light of this, and in expectation of the future, owing partly to unending spread of AIDS and partly to increasing abject poverty, L.O.M was upgraded to a non- governmental organization from a small community based organization. So from 2O10, L.O.M is a fully fledged independent organization with headquarters in Iganga, a town in eastern Uganda.

MINISTRY

Light For Orphans Ministry is an upcoming organization which apparently cannot be able to facilitate volunteers financially however; our door is open for volunteers who have comprehensive knowledge about the above programs. It can be a good experience to stay in Uganda while working with orphans and other vulnerable children, and therefore we encourage volunteers to join the team.
